Shangana Safaris is a small safari operator based in Maun, Botswana, specialising in guided experiences in the Okavango Delta and surrounding wildlife areas. Our focus is on authentic safari journeys that allow travellers to experience Botswana’s wilderness at a relaxed and natural pace.

Our safaris range from private mobile journeys and scheduled camping safaris to traditional mokoro expeditions into the waterways of the Okavango Delta.

We believe that the best safari experiences are often the simplest. Rather than large lodges or heavily structured itineraries, our safaris focus on spending time in the wilderness, moving at a natural pace and allowing guests to experience the environment as it unfolds.
Mokoro Safaris and the Okavango Delta
Mokoro journeys are one of the most traditional ways of exploring the Okavango Delta. Working with the local community mokoro trust and experienced polers, we take guests into the quieter waterways and islands of the Delta where wildlife, birdlife and the changing floodplains create a unique wilderness experience.
